Significant Grants and Funding Outcomes

2024 - After School Art Program

In the Springtime, the Foundation partnered with an external Arts organization to host an After School Art Program for all Palisades students.

2023 - Library

One of the largest grants funded in 2023 supports improvements to the library. The foundation is purchasing new bookshelves and expanding the collection to increase the volume and variety of high demand books that the students can check-out.

2022 - Art Room

The Palisades Art Room was under-utilized until the Foundation funded the purchase of furniture, including tables and chairs. Art supplies are always needed, and the Foundation continues to deliver funding and organization for community donation drives.

2021 - Wave Mascot

The Foundation partnered with the Palisades PTA to purchase the costume of the school’s beloved Wave Mascot. How cool is that dude?

2020 - Innovation

A supply and materials donation drive was organized and managed by the Foundation and the Palisades community responded with items to help the students learn engineering, design and other STEM skills.

2019 - Soccer Goals

The students asked for and the Foundation responded by purchasing the first soccer goals for Palisades Elementary.

Other Notable Accomplishments

The Palisades Elementary Foundation takes great pride in the work we’ve done, with your help and donations, to help meet the needs of the school. We’re in constant contact with the school’s administrators, teachers, and PTA to learn about the school’s evolving needs and to help the school reach its educational goals. This is just a small sample of the work we’ve done, with your help, since 2018:

2019 - Purchased 32 Chromebooks and two “cart” charting stations, each of which can store and charge at least 24 Chromebooks at a time.

2019 - Purchased the school’s first ever soccer goals, as requested by the students

2020 - Organized a supply collection and donation drive at the school to collect items needed in order to open the school’s new Innovation Lab. The items collected are still helping Palisades students learn engineering, design and other STEM skills.

Dec. 2020 - Purchased headphones for student use during silent work on their Chromebooks

March 2021 - The Foundation and the PTA teamed up to split the cost of the now-famous Wave mascot costume, starting a beloved Palisades Elementary tradition!
