Our Mission:

Quality education.

The Palisades Elementary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit located in Capistrano Beach (City of Dana Point and with students also from San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano), California. The goal is to improve the quality of the children's education environment at Palisades Elementary through donations and fundraising activities. We work closely with the school (and local PTA) to ensure that 100% of your donations are specifically targeted to have maximum impact where they are most needed. Thank you for being here and helping the kids!

While we’ve only been around since 2018, we’re happy to say that in our short existence we have a number of accomplishments! Prior to the school district’s purchase of Chromebooks for students to support on-line and distance learning, the Foundation had purchased over $10,000 of Chromebooks and support equipment. In early 2020 we organized a donation drive (and the community came out in force!) to help stock the new Innovation Lab with tools, supplies and furniture. And let’s not forget that the Foundation scored the school’s first ever soccer goals. That last one was initiated by some industrious students donating their lemonade stand money. We’re humbled by our community and the strong support they’ve given. We also know there’s a long road ahead.

32 + 2

Chromebooks Purchased

We’ve purchased 32 new Chromebooks (about $240 each) and two Chromebook charging stations (about $1500 each) in our effort to make sure every student has access to all the approved online curriculum and testing resources. We continue to look for opportunities to augment the school district’s funding to support science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education and projects.

98%

donation efficiency

Incorporated in February 2018 our all volunteer team hasn’t been doing this very long, but one thing we’ve immediately gotten right is that nearly 100% of your donation goes directly to improving the education environment. We own no assets and keep our overhead minimal limiting it only to things such as incorporation fees, Quickbooks, this web site and, of course, state licenses for our adult events. Our goal is to have 20% of our revenue come from recurring donations, which will help us more efficiently plan for the future.

2

silent auctions

While we’ve had a handful of successful smaller events and donations, the majority of our fundraising has come from two silent auctions held in the Fall and the Spring. The items donated by local businesses are truly amazing and many people have walked aways with breathtaking deals. And with a fun, friendly crowd, free delicious food and a wide-open bar, these events have quickly become the best local party of the year.

Make a Difference

Because more than 98% of your donation goes directly to improving the educational environment, the number one way you can make a difference is to donate. The number two way to you can help is to get another person who cares about children’s education to donate. That being said, we can also use a hand at events and getting the word out.

Become a Donor

More than 98% of your donation goes directly to the cause. It’s fast, it’s easy and it makes a big difference!
